Richard has over 20 years of experience as a conservation and land management adviser. He worked for 10 years as a Farm Conservation Adviser for Perthshire FWAG before establishing Lockett Agri-Environmental in 2009.
Richard undertakes a wide range of work throughout Scotland. Current projects include diffuse pollution management in intensively farmed river catchments, upland peatland restoration projects, agri-environment scheme advice, a major river restoration project, woodland management planning and a range of farm and estate scale conservation projects.
Richard also runs a farming operation at Knockbain Farm near Dingwall. As well as running a small herd of Luing cattle, Richard is working on wide range of conservation and wildlife management projects on the farm. His particular passion is the work he has done to bring back breeding lapwings to Knockbain.
Hannah graduated with an honours degree in Environmental Biology in 2020. During her time at university she completed an Applied Ecology Internship with Forestry and Land Scotland and has recently conducted ecological fieldwork for the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Hannah is a keen ornithologist and bird ringer and holds a BTO bird ringing permit. Hannah has a strong interest in conservation, agriculture and agroecology and background in sheep farming on her family croft near Strathpeffer.
Hannah worked part-time as a trainee land management adviser for Lockett Agri-Environmental for 6 months before taking on a full-time land management adviser position in April 2021.
